"This hotel was selected by my tour company. If I was choosing my own hotel, would have stayed somewhere my upscale. Located on the Hong Kong side. King size bed was very comfortable. Nice size for Hong Kong. Mini bar, safe, A/C, two bottles of complimentary water. Clean. Breakfast buffet - good selection including an omelette station. Free in room wifi. Front staff helpful and nice."

Plain and simple, and thats a good thing!

This renovation is excellent, and I recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on the island. Great nightlife, and excellent street night market a block away. Rooms are euro style, but roomy enough, and quiet enough, to be a great value. The bar and restaurant get the job done, well, also. MTR just a short distance away

Nice choice for us

This hotel was selected for us by the tour company we arranged our trip with and we were perfectly happy with it. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety for both the western and eastern diets. The room was attractive and clean and while not spacious it was perfectly adequate. The concierge helped us select a couple of options for making the best use of our short stay in Hong Kong.

My wife and I were on transit in Hong Kong on 7/9/2018 and 18/9/2018; just 2 nights at Charterhouse.

The Hotel location is excellent - heart of Hong Kong (I think so); we have the MRT, Causeway Bay, about 10/15 minutes of walk and it is at the basement of the famous The Times Square. It took us about an hour from the airport by taxi. Looking for good food was never a problem as there are plenty restaurants around the hotel; there are a few shops that even open for 24-hour, eg. beef noodles. Another interesting place to spent time walking around is the "wet market" down the road across the traffic lights when exit right from the hotel; the market has an English name, it sounds like "Bowrington Market". It is so lively in the early hour of the morning until past midnight. We used to pick up our fresh fruits from the market and normally have our lunch around the area, eg. Wan Tan Soup Noodle or the local famous Roast duck; there are also a few sea food restaurants that only open during in the evenings. By the way, the hotel staff are very friendly and courteous; they always help to carry our luggage or when you request for a taxi. Cheers.

This is a small but functional hotel in the Causeway Bay area that has pretty much all the amenities you could want in a hotel. Rooms are small but decent although a little more attention could be paid to maintenance and cleanliness. They have a restaurant on the mezzanine that serves a great breakfast. They also have two bars… one on the mezzanine and a sports bar in the basement. The gym, while on the small side, has all the requisite equipment. Close to mass transport and shopping

Conveniently located for the convention centre yet close to a plethora of restaurants and markets around Time Square. Very happy with the breakfast. Some chinese specialties including congee with lean meat and century eggs. That will keep you going until lunch. Stayed in a single room which was small but enough. As long as there is a boiler, tea and a fridge + enough power sockets then I am happy. Only thing I missed was an iron, but I never asked for one anyway.

Over the last 5 years i have noticed a decline in service in the hospitality sector in Hong Kong. So what a pleasure to stay at a hotel where the staff care about its guests. The reception staff were efficient and friendly the concierge very helpful and the restaurants well run and a delightful. However the downstairs pub was something else with great food and the manager Kenny and his crew an absolute delight. On of the ladies even made me a small cake to say farewell !!! And what a surprise for the Shuttle service!! upmarket Mercedes car and Bus !!

This was a wonderful place to stay. It’s a family friendly place. It was clean. It was a bit small, but plenty of bed space for four of us. Over all, great place and location. We would definitely stay there again!!

I cannot remember when I last reviewed the Charterhouse; I have bee staying here off and on for over ten years. I like the neighborhood very much--although, being Hong Kong, one of my favorite places six months ago may be closed this trip--but really it is the great staff here that makes me return. This time I had screwed up the dates in my booking, as I found out when I arrived at the front desk, at a time of night the reservations office was closed. The next morning, the hotel had sorted out everything for me, saving me from my own stupidity. Thanks again, Charterhouse.

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The location is good, within walking distance of the harbour, bus, and metro station. The Times Square Mall is a short walk from the hotel. We also walked to Soho and Hong Kong park. I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for one night. This is a nice hotel at a nice location. For Muslim, it’s easy to perform shalat because the Masjid is behind this hotel, same with Christian, the church is just across the Masjid. Hotel staffs are friendly. They also offer airport shuttle bus, but you have to pay 140HKD per person, cheaper than taxi and only took 1 hour. Pool and Fitness Center are amazing. I would love to stay in this hotel again.

A highly recommended hotel in HK. This may be old compared to other hotels but the measurement of room and its toilet and bath is better than newer hotels. Aside from that, what I also appreciate in this hotel is its location. Causeway Bay is located in Hongkong Island, wherein most buildings are modern and nice to look at. The area is clean, a complete opposite of Mongkok. It is accessible by taxi, train, or bus as it is located in the main Wan Chai road. Time Square is just a walking distance. There are massage centers, supermarket, bakery, cafes, and restaurants nearby.
